Project Portfolio Using technology, Peter Basso Associates has a track record of excellent project outcomes. The projects below briefly describe how we integrate 3D CAD and BIM technology into project delivery. Basso is excited about the possibilities available through 3D design, BIM, and IPD. Call Ginger Greager at 248.879.5666 or email info@PeterBassoAssociates.com to set up a meeting or Lunch and Learn to see how our progressive approach to technology can benefit your project. Kellogg Eye Center Expansion, Ann Arbor, Michigan The Kellogg Eye Center project team used a host of different software programs and workflows to create a coordinated building design. The architect used Revit Architecture, while Basso used Autodesk Building Systems to model the building in 3D. When the 3D designs were integrated, the team participated in a teleconference to resolve coordination issues, before prints or bids were issued, and long before construction began. Basso regularly receives architectural plans generated by Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD and other programs. For additional information about this project, CLICK HERE. South Shore Medical Office Building, Trenton, Michigan The South Shore Medical Office Building was a unique project in which the general contractor required the design teams to use 3D models for coordination. The Architectural Desktop, Building Systems, and Revit Structure were used to produce the designs, and Navisworks was used to check the model for collisions. As part of this project, Basso wrote a software utility to find collisions within Navisworks data more easily. Basso also integrated the structural detailer’s final design into the M/E/P 3D model to resolve issues that were not visible when checking only within the context of structural engineer’s design. Peter Basso Associates used Building Systems to generate a 3D sheet metal design for the project. This tool enabled the Basso construction administration team to work closely with the contractor and quickly visualize the engineers’ intent for the sheet metal design, expediting sheet metal installation – and the project schedule.
