The University of Michigan
Peter Basso Associates is providing mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the $120 million expansion of the Kellogg Eye Center. When completed in 2010, the building will be an eight-story, 220,000 square foot research and clinical tower located next to the existing Eye Center on Wall Street. The Brehm Diabetes Research Center will take up about 33,000 square feet of the addition. Read more... |

This project involved total replacement of a complete acute care hospital with 25 inpatient beds, including ICU and LDRP beds, 3 operating rooms (with provisions for future expansion), emergency department, diagnostic and treatment areas, laboratory, kitchen, laundry, a medical office building, and ancillary support spaces.
